Scene: Elective class

Student A ( terrible at English) Student B (middling to poor)

G: OK, you have 10 minutes to put these words (paper 1) into the correct sentences (paper 2, gaps in the sentences). Go!

(10 mins later)

G: Let’s check your marks, B-chan, you got 7 out of 12, good effort.

B: Thank you.

G: A-kun, wow…. you got all 12, well done! Did you find this easy?

A: I didn’t understand most of it, but you wrote the answers in the same order as the questions so I just copied it.

G: ….ah….

Imbecile.

Gareth Williams: Imbecile.

Idiots and politics

So, the “hawt story” today on the wordpress front page, a page that can usually be depended upon to provide some relatively intellectual and news worthy material is this story about how Barack Obama isn’t really Barack Obama at all. The gentlemen at the helm of this peculiar revelation is a one Andy Martin, who formed the “The Anthony R. Martin-Trigona Congressional Campaign to Exterminate Jew power in America” when running for US house in Connecticut. This is one of theĀ  reasons why American politics is so much more interesting than British politics, we simply don’t have this calibur of mentally unbalanced nutjob available. I am confused as to why this story made the front page of wordpress however, lest it was for some kind of comic relief.

In other news, 180mm of rain is expected in southern Wakayama today and all my classes have been cancelled for reasons that were largely unexplained, meaningthe last leg of my week has been almost entirely devoid of activities.

Activities for this weekend: Nothing. Nothing at all. It happens I suppose.
